The immigrant population in Columbus is linguistically diverse. We encourage students experienced in any language to join our team. Before official training, students are required to take a language proficiency assessment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Training workshop<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Join other students at The Community Interpreter: Medical Focus (TCI)<\/a> to become an expert in medical interpretation. TCI is a comprehensive 40 hour workshop that prepares students for the roles and responsibilities of interpretation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Certification exam<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Prior to volunteering with us, students are encouraged to take the NBCMI or CCHI medical interpretation certification exam. This ensures students are ready for direct patient-caregiver interaction and can provide quality service compliant with national standards.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
